Sometimes, previous owners return dogs to them, or the breeder will have a dog that dosn't work out as a planned "show dog". Contact local breeders and if they don't have what you are looking for, they will likely know of someone that may have an older dog avail. Also, be sure to check out humane society, petfinder or all breed rescues. Many reputable breeders may have older pups or dogs available, in addition to puppies.
