Qualities of good rabbit breeders

I worked in the shelter and I can say I was one that has to help put the animals down. But we only put them down if they didn’t pass the temper test and or was sick. We had a long talk about it and honestly some of the shelter workers said that they wouldn’t get an animal from a shelter that they liked pure bred dogs, and at the shelter about 90% of the time we guess what they are we can’t say for sure if there are purebred animals or not.

And at a shelter a lot of times you don’t know the past. and at anytime they might turn on you, we had animals returned to us for that reason. If getting an animal from a shelter you just have to be very careful and ask tons of questons about that animal.

I’m planning on buying a rabbit and I’d like to know if there are any good rabbit breeders in teh bay area and if they have a website. I’m jus tlooking for a small rabbit too.

Go to the local humane shelter. I know that the Marin County
SPCA always has bunnies up for adoption. Plus there is a
bunny rescue in the Bay Area, I think its called the Bunny
Connection (or maybe its the Rabbit Connection.) Its better to adopt than go to a breeder, too many people buy their kid a bunny and then it ends up in a
    shelter, so go there first.
