Dog breeders around and inside Wyoming

Personally, I think if you want a mutt, go to a shelter. I am sure you will be able to find a pup there that would suit you. Why pay good money for a mutt from the so called “breeder”.

They are more than likely wanting decent homes for the pups and are not out to make a profit. They realize the pups are mutts, and therefore not worth hundreds of dollars.

What dog breeders are found around and inside Wyoming? I prefer to find these dogs :

Old English Sheepdogs
German Shepherd
White German Shepherd
Chinese Crested
Golden Retriever

Thanks!
What if I am from Cheyenne?

Do you live close to the border? I’m from Wyoming and purchased one dog from UT and the next from SD, so needless to say, there aren’t many options in Wyoming.

The best thing to do is go to the parent sites for those breeds and find a reputable breeder close to you.

    Old English Sheepdog:

    German Shepherd:

    Chinese Crested:

    Golden Retriever:

This sites all have breed rescues and breeders listed. From my own research, I’ve found Colorado has quite a few breeders. Not sure if that’s close enough to you or not, but there are a few good ones in the Dakotas as well.

Add: I actually know someone who is involved with the breed, I’ll link her to this and maybe she can give you some information on some reputable people close by.

I’m on the East coast! So I don’t know any Golden breeders in your area. I strongly suggest you look at the Golden Retriever Club of America to find a good and responsible breeder of Golden’s!

    Here you go!

    Good luck!

I would look in the local papers. If you’re in Cheyenne look at Trader Shopper’s Guide. People list their dogs all the time. I found my pure bred Golden Retriever through there. You can visit the puppies at home, see the conditions, and talk to the vets about the parents.

Nebraska (just east of us) has a lot of puppy mills. So please be careful and check out the conditions the animal is in, make sure the puppies have vet records, etc.
