If I say that the ducks were laying more eggs than Hen, then people will laugh like anything. But that is true. Before the World War II the ducks were the largest egg layers. And again dont ask me whether Egg came first or Chicken came first. I read a news in Yahoo which says that only the chicken came first. So, happy now.

I believe that the Hens were easy to do Hybrid. I think that is the reason why and how Hens became the topmost egg layer. When you consider the size, its completely a different story. Ducks lay larger eggs than the competitor hens.

If you conduct an experiment with normal (un-hybrid) hens and ducks in a same environment, same kind of nutrition, etc.., no doubt that the hens will take a backseat. So, my vote is for Ducks.

All I care about, is that the dog is as close to the breed standard as possible, and raised in a warm and caring environment. I can ascertain that myself.

My sister is getting a dove this week, we forgot to ask the breeder exactly how old they are. I know they are babys, typically how old are doves when breeders let them go?
