Do Breeders and shelters allow people to adopt pitbulls

They need to have a vet reference and demonstrate that they will be coachable about the situation. It really depends on the dog.
This may seem over the top but an animal rescue group has got the interests of the dog in mind, and if that’s inconvenient to the potential adopters, then they don’t get the dog.

The animals are temperment tested in shelters before being adopted. And in most cases, the animals have resided in foster homes where they have been exposed and lived with so problems would be found then.

If the people know a lot about the breed, and are responsible, will shelters/breeders let them be adopted?

There isn’t a huge number of reputable breeders with that many dogs. Usually people who breed so many puppies are well known among others involved with the particular breed and will get referrals from all over the country, and often even from foreign countries.

Despite the fact that they sell so many puppies, these breeders aren’t making much profit, if any. Breeding dogs is just a hobby for them; their actual income comes from their day job.There are also some breeders who have partners, so that they both use the same kennel name and share the same dogs, but often live in different cities.

I’m interested in buying a beagle and I was wondering if anyone knew any reputable breeders in the triangle area. I’d like to hear from people who have/know beagles from these breeders. Thanks!

Breeding rights on purebred dogs

I have seen breeders go to court and sue puppy buyers who thought they were above the law and felt it was their right to breed their dog.. Your breeder sells her puppies for $1000 and you breed your limited registration dog and produce 10 puppies, You are liable for a bill of $10,000.. Be aware that this does happen, and if you signed a contract, the breeder will win in court.

The average pure bred dog isn’t worth breeding. Unless you are showing your dog then it needs to be spayed or neutered. If you are showing your dog then you need to be looking into a show quality dog which will likely cost you more than a pet quality dog.

I wish to purchase a purebred Alaskan Malamute, they are large dogs (170-200lbs), with their ‘tickets’ and all their up to date shots, but I wont recieve breeding rights? With the amount that is being asked for the dog, I would like to have breeding rights, is it common for breeders to withhold breeding rights? is it legal?

People should not be selling mixed breed dogs, they should just find them good homes. If they just got shots or something to defray costs, maybe. To breed mixed breed dogs on purpose is just ridiculous when there are so many shelter dogs in need of homes. Reputable breeders do not sell mutts.

The breeding should have been planned.Pups should be vet checked,vaccinated and dewormed and raised in the home.

I am looking for a pug, but cannot find an extensive list of breeders in Maryland.

I wish more people who love their animals would have some love for the homeless animals by not breeding and adopting instead. The only real key to fighting this socially is spreading the knowledge around in a non-attacking manner. I just hope that slowly through efforts from people like us, that uninformed people will help take a stand against over population by altering their animals and adopting

What should i ask a breeder when i go meet him or her.do they come to my home and bring the dogs,or do we go to there home.
how do i know there good?should i ask to see the animals mother and father?

I have been searching for a breeder for my dog, and we have finally contacted one through email. We have only exchanged a few emails, but I want my dog to be in good condition if we ever do breed him. So what are breeders looking for in Stud Dogs and there owners?

Of coures they look for breed standards and a professional stud owner but what else?

Personally, I think if you want a mutt, go to a shelter. I am sure you will be able to find a pup there that would suit you. Why pay good money for a mutt from the so called “breeder”.

They are more than likely wanting decent homes for the pups and are not out to make a profit. They realize the pups are mutts, and therefore not worth hundreds of dollars.

What dog breeders are found around and inside Wyoming? I prefer to find these dogs :

Old English Sheepdogs
German Shepherd
White German Shepherd
Chinese Crested
Golden Retriever

Breeders accepting Credit Cards

I would imagine that it is very common among good breeders. They have a good line going and don’t want it ruined by some backyard breeding scum who has no idea what they’re doing.

There are many concerned that puppy mills are purchasing the dogs, so they are only allowing them to be registered with Limited Registration with the AKC.

Out of curiosity, what do you think of breeders who handle only one breed of dog and take multiple credit cards, not simply paypal. I’ve been a lot of website where credit cards are taken, so I was just wondering your thoughts.

How Breeders with 10 females move all those dogs

I’m not talking about puppy mills, I’m talking about professional breeders who sell their dogs for between 1 and 2 grand.

Some will be too young to breed and are working on their championships. and growing out until they are 2 years old and can be tested. Some of those may fail and not be bred at all. Usually a good breeder will retire a female at 5 or 6 years of age.

Is their really a market for people who sell on average 80 dogs a year?
